Our Story
Where it started
Back in 2008 - after years of unit managing and with a bit of location managing under his belt - Crispin decided to swap the scooter for a van and start a company serving the many needs of location and production departments in London. Initially the HQ was Crispin's garage where he stocked two bowsers, some tables and chairs and battery lights. Many bowsers, tables, chairs and battery lights later, Location One has grown to be the leader in its field with over 80 members of staff and 6 branches across the UK.
As the business grew, so too did its ambition to be a customer-centric supplier who cared about the planet. Carly Hardy brought key business experience and expertise, particularly in environmental sustainability, having been an environmental consultant in both the not-for-profit and private sectors.
As an early advocate for sustainable practices, Carly has been instrumental in developing products and services like the circular economy EcoPod and green power projects.
What happened next
Location One joined forces with ADF.
Recognising the amazing synergies and therefore the opportunity to improve our service to our customers, Location One Ltd became part of the ADF Group on Wednesday 30th November 2022.
Location One has worked incredibly hard to provide a more professional and environmentally sustainable service to our customers and a more fulfilling career to our staff. In ADF we found a partner who shares our core values and our passion for the UK Film & TV industry. Working together with Mars and his brilliant team of people we will further benefit our customers, our people and the planet.
The Location One name and team has not changed. Crispin, Carly and James are still leading the business, working alongside our amazing team of people to support production companies all over the UK.

We have come a long way but we've not lost the passion and the core beliefs that were part of the company's DNA from Day One. Underpinned by a respect for each other and the planet and an obsession with helping the customer (even at 3am in the morning), our HEART values make us who we are. They are the lens through which every decision is viewed and made, by every delivery driver to every board member.
