Ever since we introduced the tipper trailer to the Film Industry in 2013 we had been looking to develop a more sustainable alternative. The EcoPod enables the user to separate 4 waste streams: food waste, compostables (Vegware), dry mixed recycling (DMR) and general waste. There is no cost for dealing with the recycling - we just charge for tipping the general waste.
This is proper closed loop, circular economy stuff. All food waste goes to an anaerobic digestion plant where it is broken down to create biogas and biofertiliser. Vegware compostables go to an ‘in vessel’ composting facility where they are turned into soil fertilizer. The DMR goes to a clean Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) where it is separated into raw materials for the remanufacturing of new products and the general (residual) waste goes to a dirty MRF, where any uncontaminated recyclables are recovered and non recyclables are processed into Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) for use in a Waste-to-Energy incinerator.

Our tipper trailers can be provided as one single compartment or with a small segregated area for dry mixed recycling. Sized to fit within a standard parking bay, they offer a tidy and clean alternative to leaving a pile of black bags on the side of the street, much to the relief of councils and location owners across the land!

As well as offering EcoPods and tipper trailers we have a Green Loop service which does an efficient loop collecting waste from base and location. This is often the most convenient solution for one day commercials or productions that move every day. The green loop vehicle can collect general waste, dry mixed recycling and food bins when required.

We spent an age searching for the perfect waste and recycling stations and found these beauties. They are super-robust and can be taken apart for storage or transportation. Each side has a sack holder so the user can easily see which bag he or she should be depositing into. The stations come complete with a double-sided sign-holder, allowing you to insert images of the waste streams you are collecting (we can provide the signage if you so wish).
