We are honoured to announce that we have partnered with ALBERT, the UK film and TV industry’s environmental sustainability body, to support free events that promote environmental sustainability awareness and best practice.
Being an existing certified supplier on ALBERT’s sustainable supplier list and having collaborated with ALBERT and ARUP in formulating their vision of sustainable film production in 2020, we were really delighted to be invited to join the exclusive list of event partners who support ALBERT.
Part of BAFTA (British Academy for Film and Television Arts), ALBERT is the authority on environmental sustainability for film and TV, helping the industry seize opportunities to create positive environmental change. Acting on behalf of key consortium members, among them the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky Netflix and Apple, ALBERT sets and helps implement the sustainability agenda for the film and TV industry.
To help implement its plans, ALBERT hosts events and training to inform and educate the industry and encourages collaboration to accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices. Its event partners contribute time and funding to ensure all events are free to attend. As well as Location One, four other suppliers support ALBERT’s events: Sargent-Disc, Green Tomato Cars, CAMA and Good Energy.
Commenting on the announcement of the partnership, Carly Hardy, Location One’s Sustainability Director said, “It is such a privilege to partner with ALBERT to bring free events about sustainable film production and visionary content creation to the industry. I’m also really proud to supply an industry that is so proactive in this area”.
