Strengthening our London and Central Leadership

Operations & Our People

We’re delighted to announce that James Turner has joined us to take over the running of our fast-growing London branch allowing Chelsea Flaher to step into a broader business-wide training and operational excellence role.

Having worked with the business for over a decade, Chelsea has an unrivalled insight into our products, processes, systems and customers. As London branch manager she has managed significant growth in the region’s revenues, equipment and team, all while overseeing deployment of process improvements, managing through COVID and shifting from contracted to employed workers as we moved to be in-line with best practice well ahead of the required regulatory timeframe. We’re incredibly proud of Chelsea’s achievements and dedication to the business. It is with great pleasure, therefore, that Chelsea has accepted the next challenge in her Location One career, which is to help deliver process and systems improvements ‘at the coalface’ across the business, such that customers consistently benefit from our improving proposition across the UK, and staff have greater clarity and support to do their jobs efficiently and really help customers.

James Turner comes to the business with a wealth of experience running operations and managing customer relations in the hire sector. He has spent a decade working for Regal Gaming & Leisure that hire-out and service gaming machines to the hospitality industry. Having managed National Accounts for the business, in 2019 he also took-on the challenge of managing the business’ largest and poorest performing regional service centre, quickly transforming it from the lowest to highest ranked depot for collections and service. He was also one of the UK’s strongest men, so he should be a dab-hand at loading vehicles in double-quick time if needed.

On joining Location One James said “I am delighted to be joining such a fast-growing business to manage Location One’s biggest branch operating in a dynamic industry serving some of the most recognised global media brands. I loved my old role but am joining Location One because of the ambition of its leaders and the opportunity to work with the great team in London to further grow the business and to continue to improve the service levels for customers”.

Chelsea said “I have spent my entire career learning and growing with the business in Barking. To rise to running the business’ largest branch and to see it through COVID and a further 40% revenue growth has been incredibly rewarding, if a little challenging at times! Having decided to dedicate some more time to my passion for personal fitness training, I am delighted to be able to take-on the newly created part-time training role in Location One to really use all my learnings to help land new projects and best practice operationally across the business.”

Founder and MD, Crispin Hardy said “This is a particularly proud day for me. Chelsea has been working with me pretty much from the outset. To see her grow professionally over the last decade has been inspiring. Running our biggest and busiest branch is no mean feat! It is also why we’re delighted to help her follow her personal passion whilst sharing her professional expertise across our business making us operationally better every day for customers. And to have found in James an operator of such ability and a person of clear integrity who I am sure will be well-liked and respected by colleagues and customers alike, gives me real confidence that Location One will continue to go from strength to strength both in London and nationally.”
